The work
About the work.
This painting explores identity, hidden emotions, and the masks we wear in everyday life. The scene appears quiet, but there is a sense of tension running beneath the surface. The covered faces remove any clear sense of identity and encourage the viewer to bring their own interpretation to the work. The empty streets, silent atmosphere, and dreamlike setting create a space that feels suspended between reality and memory. Inspired by surrealism and the work of René Magritte, the painting is less concerned with telling a story and more interested in creating a psychological experience. It invites the viewer to reflect on connection, isolation, and the parts of ourselves that remain unseen.
