The artist
About the artist.
Brogan Burke
Wrexham, United Kingdom
Brogan Burke is a British interdisciplinary artist and a graduate of Wrexham University, holding both an MA in Art Interdisciplinary Practice and a BA in Fine Art. Brogan challenges viewers to consider how architecture and the use of space can evoke emotional responses, ultimately questioning the role of design in our experiences of loss. Reflecting on her own grieving experiences, she uses found materials to create site-specific sculptures intimately linked to the memories of family she has lost, illustrating how architecture and grief share cycles of creation, destruction, and renewal.
