The work
About the work.
This started out as an exercise of experimentation in different brush types and turned into one of my favourite pieces that I've created. The soft washes of indigo and charcoal bleed into one another, mimicking the rhythmic pull of a tide against the shore. There is a quiet patience and a calm, capturing the moment where the water retreats to reveal the seabed beneath. It feels like a long, deep breath taken at the edge of the world.
