About the work.

This piece explores transformation, healing, and the journey between who we once were and who we are becoming. I wanted to capture the feeling of being in transition—that uncertain space where parts of ourselves are being left behind while something new is beginning to emerge. The fragmented figure reflects vulnerability, while the butterflies represent hope, resilience, and the possibility of renewal. For me, this work is a reminder that healing is rarely a straight path. Sometimes growth feels uncomfortable, messy, and even painful. While this is my personal interpretation, I believe every viewer brings their own experiences to a painting, and I hope this piece encourages reflection, connection, and conversation.
