The work
About the work.
This piece is a part of the Where the Whales Fly original art collection and is the key painting. It’s a collection that explores the common childhood wonder, “Why is the sky blue?” And the answer being because it is water. As above, so below. Currently, this collection is still ongoing. My inner child musing of the sky being water mingles with imagery of whales swimming through the sky and their melodies vibrating above our heads. I kept feeling a soul pull to this, so whales in the stars is seen within my work around this time.
