The work

About the work.

“The Shape of Elsewhere” explores the space between reality and the unknown, where the desire to escape meets the fear of letting go. A falling figure, an outstretched hand, and a staircase leading into uncertainty symbolize the human search for meaning, freedom, and belonging. Suspended between falling and flying, the figure reflects a moment of surrender — when we leave behind what is familiar without knowing what awaits us. The piece invites viewers to question whether elsewhere is a place we are trying to reach or a part of ourselves we have yet to discover.
