The work

About the work.

This piece was painted right after I had a really intense psychosis and was still feeling the dreamlike after effects. Where I am trying to make sense of what is and isn’t real. Am I dreaming? I began experiencing psychosis after having trauma from sudden loss of a very close loved one. So, although there is a touch of whimsy it was made in an altered state. A tigon is a celestial creature that resides in the skies of a realm I am designing for my virtual band, the Grimzetties. The realm is an Afro-futuristic setting. Tigons share likeness with tigers and serpent dragons. Thus, they have long slender bodies as big as a dragon with six legs.
