About the work.

The grid in this piece depicts the rigid structures and repetition that we so often have in our daily lives. In difficult moments those structures and patterns can even feel like we’re trapped inside a prison cell. But the colourful backdrop offers a more hopeful message, because no matter what each of us is going through there is another repetitive pattern at work that is way beyond our control; and that is that The Sun Will Always Rise. Each day provides another opportunity to all of us.
